C-SPAN tour bus stops in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Two Sioux Falls schools were visited by C-SPAN's tour bus today.

The 45-foot interactive vehicle made stops at Augustana University and Lincoln High School. It will also be at Memorial Middle School on Tuesday morning.

On the bus, visitors get a look at C-SPAN's 40 years of in-depth coverage of the American political process.

"I was able to see what C-SPAN does, see the importance of C-SPAN, and experience more about our government," said Sheldon Jensen, a government and economics major at Augustana.

Since 1993, a C-SPAN bus has traveled across the nation visiting different communities. People can meet with C-SPAN representatives and learn about their educational online resources. C-SPAN's online classroom is free for teachers and students.
