(KSFY) - Charges are pending against a driver involved in a two-vehicle crash southwest of Sioux Falls Friday morning.

Spokesman Tony Mangan said the accident happened around 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of South Dakota Highway 17 and 268th Street.
The Impala was westbound on 268th Street and stopped at intersection of Highway 17. The 60-year-old driver did not yield to the Sierra which was southbound on Highway 17 approaching the intersection, Mangan said.
The two vehicles collided.
The Sierra caught fire after going into the west ditch. The 39-year-old driver was able to escape.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and received minor injuries.
The driver of the Impala, Dominic Verrastro of Sioux Falls, was transported to a hospital. Charges are pending against him.
Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
