SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The Sioux Falls city council will explore the possibility further of buying dozens of homes affected by recent flooding in the Tomar Park area.
Approximately, 55 residents received a letter asking them to sell their properties to the city voluntarily.
The council unanimously approved the appropriations of the one million dollar ordinance to a second reading at next week's meeting.
At next week's meeting, the council will discuss several topics, including what to pay for the homes and where the money will come from.
The process of buying all the homes could take a few years.
