The city's electrical department says they are currently operating at 1/3 capacity.

Officials are asking that residents still work to conserve energy. No factories are operating during the emergency.

The community of Madison is under an emergency energy alert as crews deal with weather-related power outages.

City officials are requesting no industrial customers run today.

Officials are also asking residents conserve power as they continue to deal with downed power lines from the ongoing snowstorm.

The city's electrical department says they are dealing with "uncharted territory for the City of Madison Power System."

In addition, Madison police are asking residents to only call 911 in case of an emergency. They are aware of the multiple power outages in the area.
