Construction worker rescued after falling into Big Sioux River

WATERTOWN, S.D. - A construction worker fell nearly 30 feet while working on U.S. Highway 212 over the Big Sioux River just after 12:30 p.m. Watertown Fire and Rescue crews set up a rescue rope system, and loaded the worker into a Stokes basket to raise him out of the coffer dam. The worker was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital for treatment.
