UPDATE: Authorities investigating hit-and-run on I-29

Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run on Interstate 29 that left a woman with serious injuries.

The incident took place around 3:00 a.m. Monday on the northbound lane of I-29 between the Harrisburg and Tea exits.

According to Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Swenson, a juvenile female was standing or walking along I-29 when she was struck by an unknown vehicle.

Swenson is asking anyone who may have any information regarding the incident to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 605-764-5651.

Authorities closed off a portion of I-29 for several hours Monday morning as they investigated.

Authorities are investigating an incident on Interstate 29 near Tea, resulting in traffic delays Monday morning.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement officers are investigating an incident near mile marker 71.

Northbound lanes at the Tea/Harrisburg exit are closed as authorities investigate.

A detour has been set up rerouting traffic. Drivers can take 273rd Street east to Louise Avenue, then north up to 271st Street, which will taken them back to I-29.
