(KSFY) - Crews spent Tuesday afternoon cleaning up a mess on Interstate 90 after a dump truck carrying asphalt overturned.
It happened just before 3:40 p.m. at the mile marker 401 when the driver lost control and drove off the interstate and partially into the west ditch, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Tony Mangan.
The crash caused the asphalt to spill out of the truck.
The driver was not injured but authorities issued him a citation for careless driving.
The I-229 northbound on-ramp to I-90 west was closed for about 10-15 minutes as DOT cleaned up the spill.
