Freeman hosting first-ever South Dakota Chislic Festival Saturday

FREEMAN, S.D. (KSFY) - Chislic is South Dakota's official nosh, and Freeman is recognizing that with a first-of-its kind festival.

Vendors from all across the state are headed to the small town for the South Dakota Chislic Festival Saturday.

There are several competitive categories, including Classic Sheep, New Age Nosh and Peoples Choice.

The festival will also feature entertainment and activities, as well as craft beer from across the state.

It runs from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday night at the softball field and city park in Freeman.
