Sioux Falls, S.D. - There’s a new building on the campus of the Dow Rummel Village and they held a grand opening Saturday.
The enhanced assisted living and enhanced memory care project address the growing need for memory care and assisted living in the area, adding 60 total apartments.
The expansion project has been two and a half years in the making and residents will move in on Monday.
“People are really enjoying all of the amenities, all of the things that our memory care residents will be able to do,” Dow Rummel Village CEO Darla Vanrosendale said. “They're also noticing just the warm friendly feeling. It’s a very homey feeling.”
The first phase of the $28 million building project is now complete and the second phase will begin with expanding the existing main street to include a movie theater, expanded salon, workshop, and more.
The final phase is expected to be complete in fall of 2020.
