SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - HorsePower has been around for more than 30 years and has become a year-round facility in Sioux Falls since 2011.
It's the only year-round program offered in South Dakota that provides equestrian therapy for physical or mental help. Many with disabilities rely on HorsePower.
The facility has 11 different horses that provide individual therapy for each person.
Right now, they offer three programs hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, and groundwork. They hope to add more programs that will help with cognitive health soon.
During the summers, they can see up to 85 people for their summer session.
Winter sessions began Jan. 5th, but you can still come and check out the facility. Sign up for their spring sessions begin Feb. 1st.
