Man accused of inappropriately touching girls at sleepovers facing more charges

DELL RAPIDS, S.D. (KSFY) - A Dell Rapids man accused of inappropriately touching girls during sleepovers is now facing nine more charges.

A grand jury indicted 47-year-old Torin Eugene Lodmell Wednesday on three counts of attempted first-degree rape, four counts of attempted sexual contact with a child under 16 and two counts of attempted fourth-degree rape.

The girls testified against Lodmell in front of the grand jury.

He is being held on a $200,000 cash bond.

Officers first arrested Lodmell last week on fourth-degree rape after four girls came forward with allegations that stemmed from sleepovers at his home with a classmate related to him.
