SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Sioux Falls police have arrested a man suspected of trying to pass counterfeit bills at two local businesses.
Police said Ryan Wright, 33, was arrested for trying to pass two separate fake $100 bills at two separate establishments - a convenience store at 14th Street and Minnesota Avenue and a restaurant on 10th Street and Indiana Avenue.
Both establishments refused to accept the bills. Police said at the time of the arrest, Wright had three total bills on him. Sergeant Sam Clemens said the bills included Chinese symbols and no security features.
Wright, whom police believe is a transient, is being charged with possession of a forged instrument and passing of a forged instrument.
