A jury has found Henry Little Long guilty in the fatal shooting of 40-year-old LaKendrick Thornton.
Long's convictions include second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter.
Authorities said the charges stem from a September 2018 incident where Long, along with Kelsey Roubideaux were giving a ride to Thornton and another unidentified woman. Long and Thornton were involved in an altercation. Long then shot Thornton.
Long and Roubideaux then drove Thornton's body to a rural area in Minnehaha County and left it in a ditch.
