Man hit in head with soup can during attempted robbery

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Police say they are looking for a suspect accused of hitting a man in the head with a soup can during an attempted robbery over the weekend.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said the incident happened Saturday around 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of McDonald's on N. Cliff Avenue as a man was getting into his car.

Another man allegedly came up and hit the victim in the head several times with a soup can before attempting to take his wallet.

The suspect ran off after failing to take the victim's wallet.

Clemens said the suspect is described as an older white man, about 5'10" with a medium build and balding.

The victim received no serious injuries.
