Mogen's Heroes to perform during the South Dakota Inauguration ceremony

S.D. (KSFY) - It's now January, and the legislative session is about to begin. But, before the first bill is signed into law. South Dakota will hold their Inauguration Ceremony in Pierre.

And it's not just those in the capital city involved in the ceremony; one Sioux Falls band is heading to the event to perform.

Mogen's Heroes will perform, tomorrow, Jan 5th in Pierre for the South Dakota Inaugural Ceremonies and Celebration. This is the first time the band will play during an Inauguration Ceremony.

They will perform the Star Spangled Banner during the Oath of Office ceremonies and play a variety of music in the evening.

The Oath of Office ceremonies for Governor-Elect Kristi Noem and other elected officials will begin at 11:00 a.m.

All Oath of Office ceremonies is free to the public.

The ceremony will be followed by the Capital Ball which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the State Capital. The Grand March begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are required for these two events and costs $25.00.

The Inaugural Ball begins at 8:00 p.m. at the Ramkota River Centre and the Inaugural Grand March starts at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are required and cost $25.00 per person.
