SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Last month, students from New Tech High School in Sioux Falls gathered at Habitat for Humanity to build "buddy benches."
On Friday, the 50 students completed phase two of the project.
They were painted with sayings like "When you can be anything, be kind" and "Be the reason someone smiles today."
"Buddy bench is a place for students to be able to visually show other students that they're looking for a friend or maybe need somebody to talk to," Kristen Thompson with Habitat for Humanity said.
The buddy benches will be delivered to local elementary schools in April.
