New students move in to SDSU, USD

(KSFY) - Thousands of college students descended upon SDSU and USD Friday for a busy move-in day for the incoming freshman class.

Staff and volunteers are happy to lend a hand to help get their year off to a great start.

"Move-in day is really exciting because you get to see the energy and you get to feel the campus come back to life," SDSU Foundation talent management coordinator Matty Kerr said. "It seems like people just descend upon the vehicles, and a lot of times we've heard parents say that stuff's up to the rooms before they even park the car."

SDSU held a picnic followed by a Jackrabbit Block Party.
