(KSFY) - A deadline has been set for renovation plans for a Sioux Falls home that does not comply with historical standards.
The owners of the home in McKennan Park Historic District have six weeks to submit renovation plans.
Last month, the South Dakota Supreme Court denied a petition for a new hearing from the home owners. The historical board will now make a decision about what needs to be done to the house to bring it into compliance.
"The board is going to have to determine how far does this house need to be moved over, what has to happen with the appearance of this house, and is it consistent with the other houses in the neighborhood, so again we anticipate a major renovation," attorney Scott Abdallah said.
The board is expected to review the plans in May.
