PBS CEO visits Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - South Dakota Public Broadcasting has welcomed a special guest to help celebrate its new studio in downtown Sioux Falls.

Paula Kerger, the president and CEO of PBS, is in the city for a ribbon cutting ceremony that will be held on Friday.

"It's a nice space, but I think more important than a beautiful facility, is what will happen in these four walls, which is the opportunity to not only have radio broadcasts and other things coming out of this building, but also to bring people here for convening," she said.

Kerger was also on-hand last October for the opening of South Dakota Public Broadcasting's Black Hills studio in Rapid City.

The Sioux Falls studio serves as a public gathering space for public discussions, program tapings and other events.
