Sioux Falls, S.D. - Breast cancer survivors helped ‘Paint it Pink’ at the Glamour Defined fashion show Sunday afternoon, helping to raise money for the Avera foundation. This is the third year of the event designed to give women battling breast cancer a big boost of confidence.
“I want to help women feel confident and beautiful,” Glamour Defined owner Katie Iverson said. “I always say my job is to dress women in confidence. Having this event and really bringing people who are going through cancer, people who have been through cancer, and be able to give them their confidence back and put a smile on their face with having a wig from Avera is one of the biggest joys of my life.”
The event has already helped provide more than 400 wigs to cancer patients. Iverson hopes Sunday’s event will bring their three-year fundraising total to $50,000.
