Arrest made in Mandan, North Dakota homicides

MANDAN, N.D. - UPDATE: Authorities in North Dakota have made an arrest in the murders of four people at a property management building.

Chad Isaak of Washburn, North Dakota is facing four charges of murder.

Police say they were able get pictures of the car leaving the area from surveillance cameras and were able to track the car to Washburn, about 35 miles from Mandan.

Authorities then made a traffic stop and police discovered evidence in the car and on Isaak that gave them probable cause to arrest Isaak.

Police say the four victims died of either gunshot or stab wounds, or both.

"Even though an arrest has been made, the investigation is still going on. Investigators will continue to process evidence and gather information. At the present time the motive for the crime is unknown," Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler said.

Isaak lived in a trailer owned by the property management business.
police haven't said whether they have discovered the murder weapons.

According to authorities, a person of interest has been detained in the investigation looking at how four people were murdered in North Dakota.

Officials said late Thursday, Mandan police, the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the McLean County Sheriff's Office are following up on a lead in Washburn, ND.

Washburn is about 45 miles north of Mandan, where four people were found dead in a business on Monday.

Fifty-two-year-old Robert Fakler, 42-year-old Adam Fuehrer, 45-year-old Lois Cobb, and 50-year-old William Cobb were identified as the victims.

Investigators believe they were targeted, so they don't believe there is any danger to the public because of the specific nature of the homicides.

Fakler was the owner of RJR Maintenance and Management, where they were all found dead.
