Police respond to 46 crashes Thursday during blizzard conditions

A crash on I-229 near Minnesota Avenue on Thursday sends three adults to the hospital.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Police in Sioux Falls say they responded to nearly 50 crashes Thursday during blizzard conditions.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said officers responded to 46 crashes between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

He said the majority of those crashes happened during the morning commute.

In addition, the Highway Patrol said it responded to 29 crashes on Thursday, including one accident that sent three adults to the hospital, and seven crashes Friday morning.
