SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - UPDATE:
The driver of the lone vehicle involved in an early morning crash on Interstate 229 has been charged with attempted first degree murder and felony child abuse, according to Sioux Falls Police.
The Sioux Falls woman has been identified as 34-year-old Julia Jacquelyn Alzoubaidi. She is currently in custody with a bond set at $250,000.
Police say a woman and her infant child are recovering at a hospital after they were injured in a crash early Tuesday morning.
Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. when a vehicle occupied by the 34-year-old woman and her 6-month-old boy rolled near Minnesota Avenue at the northbound I-229 on-ramp.
Clemens said the initial call was for a water rescue, and the two were in the water at some point before authorities arrived.
Authorities closed the ramp to traffic until around 9:30 a.m.
Police do not know at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

An accident in southeast Sioux Falls has spurred a large police investigation, prompting authorities to close a ramp on I-229.
As of 8 a.m., the ramp from Minnesota Avenue to northbound I-229 is still closed and northbound traffic on I-229 near Minnesota Avenue has slowed to a crawl.
Police say the northbound entrance ramp from Minnesota Avenue is closed. A press release sent out at 6 a.m. said the closure is expected to last several hours.
Department of Public Safety Spokesman Tony Mangan tells KSFY News authorities are investigating a crash in the area. He said several law enforcement agencies are involved in the investigation.
A large police presence has been active in the area since around 3:30 a.m.
Police have not released any additional details about the accident.
