Police searching for suspect following Sioux Falls stabbing

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Law enforcement officials are looking for a suspect following a stabbing that left one person badly hurt in central Sioux Falls.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 10:30 p.m. Sunday on the 700 block of W. 6th Street in Sioux Falls.

When police arrived, they found a victim with several stab wounds to different part of his body. Authorities say his injuries are serious, but not life-threatening.

Police say a witness described the suspect as a black man, about 5'8"-6" tall with a slender build. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a black letterman-style coat with gray sleeves, a drawstring-style backpack, and a black and teal pair of newer Jordan shoes.
