Screening for new Jacob Wetterling documentary trailer to be held in Sioux Falls

People in the Sioux Falls area will soon get a sneak peek at a documentary about a cold case that gripped much of the Midwest for years.

A screening for a trailer for "The Jacob Wetterling Documentary" will take place Monday evening at Fernson Brewing Company in Sioux Falls.

The film focuses on the 1989 disappearance of 11-year-old Wetterling, which remained a mystery until an arrest was made in 2015. The documentary, which was created by Minnesota and South Dakota filmmakers, also examines the tragedy's aftermath for communities across the Midwest.
