Sioux Falls celebrities try winning over people's taste buds in Multi-Cultural Center cook-off

DOWNTOWN SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The International Chef Cook-Off is Saturday, December 9th at the Coliseum in Downtown Sioux Falls, which is an event that raises money for the Multi-Cultural Center. Fourteen celebrity chefs from different parts of the world will compete for the People's Choice Awards. Guests will go "around the world" while they taste foods from the chefs and vote for their favorite dish.

The event starts at 5:00 PM on December 9th and runs until 7:00 PM. It costs $30 for one person to attend, $50 for a couple or $200 for a table of 8. There will also be baskets from around the world that will be included in a raffle that night. The Coliseum is located at 515 North Main Avenue in Downtown Sioux Falls.

All of the money raised at the event will benefit the programs offered at the Multi-Cultural Center. The center helps children and adults. Some of the programs offered for adults are driver's education, translating services, immigration services, and housing partnerships. The non-profit also helps kids in the culturally diverse community through the C.A.R.E camp, an after school reading program and a native youth club.

The celebrity chefs include a sergeant with the Sioux Falls Police Department, a Sioux Falls Fire Rescue captain, the current chef at Grand Falls Casino, the founder of Click Rain, and the Vice President of development at Lloyd Companies, among others.
