One Sioux Falls teenager will be making a big trip in June.
That's when Luke Buriak will be heading to Georgia for a camp to meet his new service dog.
Buriak has Duchenne Musclar Dystrophy, and the service dog will help him with everyday life.
The trip will allow Luke and his new four-legged friend to form a bond.
The Buriak Family is holding a fundraiser to send Luke to the camp. The funds will cover the cost of the camp, along with food, travel and set up costs for the dog in its new home.
His parent's say the dog will give Luke a new found confidence.
If you'd like to help out Luke and his family, they have a go-fund-me page set up at 'Help Luke Get His Service Dog'.
There will also be a fundraiser at B-B's Pub n grill in Sioux Falls.
The fundraiser is on April 6th beginning at 11 a-m.
There will be a silent auction, raffles and a donation board.
