Sioux Falls deploys new interactive map for flooding

For the first time, Sioux Falls is implimenting a new piece of technology to help citizens during the storm.

The city of Sioux Falls released a new map showing flooded intersections along with storm inlets.

The city says they are trying to find easier ways to reach people to notify them about important information.

"People live on their phones. They live on their computers. It's the fastest and most efficient way to get information from the city so we're trying to find our citizens where they live and that's online." said Deputy Chief of Staff T.J. Nelson.

Nelson went on to say that so many people have been using the new map, they have had to add a new server.
