Sioux Falls (KSFY) - One Sioux Falls business failed a recent wave of alcohol compliance checks by the city's police department.

Aldi Foods on South Louise Avenue sold alcohol to a person under 21 years of age, according to Sergeant Aaron Nyberg.

Police checked 21 off-sale businesses in southwest Sioux Falls on December 6. Aldi was the only business to fail the check.

The clerk was cited for furnishing alcohol to a person between the ages of 18 and 20.

Police say they conduct random alcohol compliance checks to protect the young people of the community.
