Sioux Falls mayor announces group to study Premier Center campus

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - City leaders in Sioux Falls are putting together a study group to develop a long-term master plan for the Denny Sanford Premier Center campus.

Mayor Paul TenHaken announced the Events Campus Study Group on Tuesday morning.

TenHaken says he is recruiting members of the public to join the new study group, which will evaluate the current and future needs of the campus. The group will make recommendations to the mayor, and its final report will be presented to the City Council.

Topics the group will evaluate include future use and function of the arena, parking, additional onsite uses, and transportation connections to downtown and other attractions.

Anyone interested in joining the board can apply here.

The group will begin meeting in February, and will meet monthly through July.
