Sioux Falls police investigate shots fired

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The Sioux Falls Police Department is investigating a weapons violation on the east side of the city.

Officers responded to the 4200 block of East 12th Street Tuesday around 11 p.m. for reports of shots fired at an apartment complex.

Capt. Loren McManus said officers found several windows and a patio door were shot out. One apartment had bullet holes through the wall, but the female resident was not injured.

No other injuries were reported.

McManus said the suspect is "a small-framed figure, possibly a male."
