Sioux Falls woman arrested for allegedly stealing packages from porches

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Police say a Sioux Falls woman is facing possession of stolen property charges for allegedly stealing packages from residents' front porches.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens said police got tips from homeowners in two different western Sioux Falls neighborhoods on Saturday evening.

Clemens said when officers approached 28-year-old Courtney Raelynn Mezacapa, they found two packages in her car and 11 key holders -- each worth around $120 -- that realtors use when showing houses. Marijuana was also found in the vehicle.

Officers arrested Mezacapa for possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
