'Small Business Saturday' is November 25

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Many business across South Dakota fall into the "small business" category.

"By shopping small, by shopping local, you're going to be able to make a hug impact on the lives of everyone in the community," Joe Batcheller, president of Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc., said.

That is why this Saturday is officially "Small Business Saturday."

Organizers said it is a way to showcase the contribution of small businesses throughout Sioux Falls and South Dakota.

"We've had so much support from the community, and it's just confirmed that we thought that there was a need, and this weekend just confirmed that there indeed is," Game Chest co-owner Ben Wermers said.

Monday kicked off the event with a walking tour downtown.
