Sioux Falls, S.D. - Saturday night a special group of people were honored in Sioux Falls for their love and appreciation of music.
Every year the South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognizes the men and women who have contributed to and had a significant impact on rock and roll music, especially in South Dakota.
One of those was the radio station KPAT-FM. It’s an honor Joe Henkin said he won’t forget.
“They have one thing in common,” Henkin said. “That’s music. They want to preserve it and they want to remember those who may have had a part in the rock and roll scene here in Sioux Falls. It’s a great group and we're just flattered.”
This year’s inductees included seven bands and many more South Dakota rock and roll supporters.
