SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - This year's Spring Parade of Homes kicks off this weekend and continues next weekend. There are more than 80 homes on the tour this year. The houses are located in Sioux Falls, Brandon, Tea, Harrisburg, Canton, and Wentworth. It is free to tour the houses, except for the two featured homes. It costs $5 each to tour those homes.
The $5 goes towards the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation. It's a non-profit that helps fund housing related community services projects and provides scholarships for students.
People can tour the homes Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. You can also take a look next weekend, May 18th-19th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, as well. The purpose of this event is to allow the builder to show off their work and for the public to meet various builders and get ideas for their next project. The homes range in price from $160,000 to over $1,000,000.
