SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Tuesday was day two of the 4th annual KSFY Media Camp.
Area high school students are spending the week leaning about the world of broadcast news and what it takes to get a newscast on the air.
The day focused on the fundamentals of a good sales pitch. The campers said they have been learning a lot about journalism, sales and the TV industry as a whole.
"We're starting to learn how to use the prompters and read the prompters," Garrett Satterly, a junior from Colman-Egan, said. "We're also learning that you have to be looking into the camera because it can sense where your eyes are at all times, we've learned how to act with each other, how to gesture with each other, and how to overall create a good newscast with each other."
The campers will continue their hand's-on learning through Friday when they will debut their very own newscasts on KSFY News at 5 p.m and 6 p.m.
