SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - This weekend, eight schools will compete to be part of March Madness in the Summit League men's and women's basketball championships.
The tournament is celebrating its tenth year and work is already underway at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center ahead of tip off on Saturday.
Summit League officials said this tournament continues to be a success.
"This is our tenth year and we've seen the tournament grow tremendously," commissioner Tom Douple said. "We think we have one of the most successful -- if not the most successful -- mid-major tournament in the country."
On the men's side, South Dakota State kicks off the tournament against Western Illinois at 6 p.m. USD will face Omaha at 8:30 p.m.
Then on Sunday, Fort Wayne takes on North Dakota State and Denver faces Oral Roberts.
On the women's side, USD will face Fort Wayne Saturday at noon and South Dakota State will face North Dakota State at 2:30 p.m.
Then on Sunday, Denver takes on Oral Roberts and Western Illinois faces Omaha.
