Taking the plunge for Special Olympics South Dakota

Sioux Falls, S.D. - Dozens of people took the plunge into freezing water Saturday at J&L Harley-Davidson in Sioux Falls.

All the money raised benefits Special Olympics South Dakota.

It’s a cause that many say is so important to bring more awareness for and it’s a unique experience for those jumping.

“Apart from cold, it was funny,” Polar Plunge participant Michael Roberts said. “Yeah, it was, you jump in that water, and the only thing you can think of is, I have to get out.”

The next polar plunge is at Liberty Elementary in Harrisburg on April 26th.
