SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Students at Roosevelt High School had the opportunity Friday to hear the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz perform.
Fine Arts coordinators say students will have the opportunity to better understand what jazz music is and what it means for to the country.
"For them to come up into the Midwest and experience what we have to offer, and the excellent Fine Arts programs that we have, and just the hospitality has been absolutely terrific, and we've enjoyed having them as well," Boyd Perkins said.
The Thelonius Monk Institute of Jazz perform nationally and selected Sioux Falls as one of 10 schools to perform.
