Tonight's Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week is Marco Walker, a senior at Estelline High School with a 3.91 grade point average.

Marco is on the Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society in addition to being a part of the Student Council.

Marco walker tells us one of the secrets to his success is having and maintaining a schedule planner. He says he uses his every single day. "It just keeps you organized and you don't forget thing. Hopefully don't forget things."

As far as his favorite classes are concerned, he says he has two. Biology is #2 and at the top of the list? Calculus! "I really enjoy Math and working with numbers in general."

When it comes to recognizing students who consistently do good work over a long stretch of time, school couselor Morgan Hanenberger tells us Marco definitely belongs in the category. "Marco is just a kind student who works hard. He is very humble. Doesn't like the attention. He doesn't show off about his good grades or the successes that he has had."
Marco tells us he is considering his college options right now but says he wants to take a career path which allows him to make prostcthic limbs. He says his love of math is pushing him in that direction. "Engineering involves a lot of Math. Creating prosthetics is Bio-Medical Engineering."

For being named a Scholar of the Week, Marco receives a $100 scholarship from H-D Electric Cooperative which is a local Touchstone Energy cooperative.
