SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The University of Sioux Falls introduced its new athletic director Friday.
Pam Gohl has been the interim athletic director since Josh Snyder stepped down in September.
Gohl is in her seventh year working in athletic administration at USF.
The Manning, Iowa native has worked in college athletics for 20 years, which included coaching the Minnesota State Mankato women's basketball team to a Division II national championship in 2009.
The former college basketball player at Augustana University is excited to lead the Cougar athletic program.
"My love for DII has grown over the years, but I've never felt like I was home until I started working at a place called USF," Gohl said. "As I look at so many familiar faces in the room, I think that you, like me, feel like we were called to be here, and there's a higher presence that called us here."
"It became abundantly clear and glaring as we observed Pam do her work with a sense of integrity and a work ethic that is second-to-none," USF President Dr. Brett Bradfield said.
Gohl takes over as the Cougars athletic director immediately.
