YANKTON, S.D. (KSFY) - UPDATE:
Administrators say a suspect has been detained by law enforcement following an online threat to Yankton High School.
Schools in the district were on lockdown Thursday due to the threat. No one was hurt.
Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle said classes, open campus and activities have resumed.
Administrators say schools in Yankton are on a "soft lockdown" following an online threat to the high school.
Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle said students are not allowed to leave their buildings at this time, and open campus at the high school has been suspended.
The school is working directly with law enforcement. Kindle did not release the nature of the threat.
Students are safe and secure at this time, he said.
