SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – PGA TOUR Champions golfers Darren Clarke and Jerry Smith have officially committed to the Sanford International Presented by Cambria on September 16-22 at Minnehaha Country Club, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Clarke, winner of The Open Championship in 2011, has won 21 tournaments on golf's main tours including the European Tour, PGA TOUR, Sunshine Tour and Japan Golf Tour. Clarke was also a captain for the European Ryder Cup team at Hazeltine in 2016. He finished tied for 70th at the inaugural Sanford International in 2018. Clarke is activity in charity and established the Darren Clarke Foundation, which helps further the development of junior golf in Ireland.
Smith, a Council Bluffs, Iowa, native, tied for second place at the Sanford International in 2018. The runner-up finish was his best result on the course last year. Smith joined the PGA TOUR Champions in 2015 and has one win and 12 top-10 finishes.

The Sanford International Presented by Cambria, a PGA TOUR Champions event contested in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will be played at Minnehaha Country Club the week of September 16-22, featuring a $1.8 million purse.
