Landscapes Unlimited to manage Sioux Falls' public golf courses

SIOUX FALLS (KSFY) - The city of Sioux Falls has named the company that will manage the community's three public golf courses.

Landscapes Unlimited has won the rights to negotiate for the contract, city officials announced Wednesday morning.

The Lincoln, Neb. company will operate the courses at Kuehn, Elmwood, and Prairie Green golf courses. Officials say it is also the golf course construction company that recently reconstructed Elmwood Golf Course.

Landscapes Unlimited manages 46 properties in 16 states, including several 16 municipal golf courses.

Officials say the city received proposals from five companies, which were reviewed by an evaluation committee. Landscapes Unlimited was the unanimously highest scored proposal.

The current contract with Dakota Golf Management will end December 31. According to the city, Landscapes Unlimited intends to retain all existing personnel.
