(KSFY) - South Dakota continued its 50-year tradition on Thursday of running the game football from University of South Dakota's campus to South Dakota State University's campus.
Both colleges collaborate with Feeding South Dakota to round up donations to help end hunger in the state.
Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity heads the annual football run food drive that started Nov. 14 and leads into their rivalry game on Saturday.
"We work with the SDSU Lambda Chi Alpha Chapter, and so we run halfway," USD junior Ross Bellefeuille said. "So we're just going to stay 19 north until we get about halfway, and they pick up from there."
The past two days USD has had as many runners as 10 as they made their way to the halfway point of Humboldt.
From there SDSU will run the ball to their own campus where the game will be played.
