VERMILLION – South Dakota volleyball will be making the short drive down Interstate 29 to Omaha.
The Summit League tournament champion Coyotes will face Creighton in the opening round of the NCAA volleyball tournament at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 30. The first match on Friday at D.J. Sokol Arena is between Washington and Saint Mary's (Calif.) at 3:30 p.m.
South Dakota, who defeated Denver in a five-set tournament championship thriller, is in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the school's Division I history.
Creighton, meanwhile, is the Big East Conference champions and earned the No. 9 overall seed in the 64-team tournament.
South Dakota will take a 21-9 record into Friday's match while Creighton is 28-4.
Denver received an at-large berth, giving the Summit League two teams into the NCAA Tournament in volleyball for the first time ever.
